A recall is a recall. They can not deny you coverage. It does not matter what you have done to your engine. IF BMW has agreed to recall some parts/iteims, then they HAVE TO replace them under the federal recall. Now... they CAN void your warranty IF there is anything remaining (time/miles). But that is another issue.
