My recommendation is to pony up and get a second TPMS for your second set of rims....if you'll be running two sets of rims/tire combos. The technology is invaluable. This past year there was a time when every week my TPMS told me to add air to a new tire on my second set of rims that didn't look low. after four weeks of adding air, i took the car to a shop. They couldn't find any leak but trusted that i wasn't crazy so went ahead and broke the seal to find a small pebble between the seal and rim that only leaked when there was weight on the tire...no issues since!

Had i been ignorantly cruising at 106 or beyond, thinking my low-profile tires were okay because they looked okay, it could of ended much differently.
