Really enjoying the Step around town (95% boring stop/go), while the 5% on open roads I do enjoy flicking the paddles, enjoying my first auto ever.
I found the downshift speeds ok given I am slowing down and can't really notice the lag while lining up for the corner, besides the gurgle is worth the lag. The upshifts however are waaaaaaaay to slow for my liking, I have to flick 500-750RPM before my ideal shift point to ensure it changes at the right revs. Sure sports mode is fine, but I want to change myself now and then, ideally paddle downshift and sports upshift
. I don't want to seem ungrateful given it is quick and smooth compared to a few years back, and probably some competition..... and yes I decided to go for the Step.....blah blah blah.
Can the software be upgraded re shift speeds, or should I start saving for a car with DSG?
