My roof is carbonlook vinyl. Difficult to apply? I don't know, I had it done and it took like one afternoon. The guy that placed it said it wouldn't damage the paint but he couldn't promise for 100%.
When applied, he made some scratches in the vinyl so the vernis (don't know if this is the correct word
, the stuff that makes it shine) would attach better. The 'vernis' (shiny stuff) was applied in another garage and also they didn't give me garanty that it would hold as it was the first time they used it on vinyl. This year I went for 3 weeks to Italy where the car stayed outside for 3 weeks in full sun, and I'm sure I could have baked an egg on my roof... but it didnt came loose..
