Mine is the same. Although the 1er's fit and finish is of very high quality, I've come to accept that it's not as top notch as other models I've owned. Seam imperfections, cheapish hard plastic dash, and leatherette arm rest. Don't get me wrong, it's still better than average, but not perfect. You may be successful in getting it fixed, but some things we have to deal with for the "bang for the buck" package.
