Yes I definitely used electrical tape over the connections.
I will go buy some wire taps to make everyone (including myself) happy hahah

I spoke with a friend that works at BMW and he told me that if the airbag light is on, they will do a full diagnose on the car to find what triggered the problem. And i'm told this includes them examining the wires in the center console.
I'm worried that if they find that I tampered with the wiring, they will void my warranty.

Maybe ill have to dish out money and go to an independent shop
