If you have the knob but not the boot, then you really should get the boot to match. Last time, we made the stock boot work, but I don't like to keep things half assed so here we are.
The alcantara boot feels great, looks nice, but will probably attract a lot of dirt/dust. The other negative is the build quality (though hidden) isn't all that. Anyway, I'll let the pictures finish it up...
Bottom line is the alcantara boot fits much nicer than the stock one with the weighted knob.
