Not to jack your Thread, but I am in the same predicament as you, although it sounds like you made the right choice for you.
At first, I debated between a 2013 135is and a 2013 M3, but eventually decided on the 1er and I'm now anxiously awaiting the SOP which is taking forever. In the interim however, I found a gorgeous 2006 E46 M3 coupe with very low mileage. I have always loved the E46 M and this could be a once in a lifetime purchase. My only reservation is the maintaince and being without a warranty.
