Doesn't sound like you were looking for an answer to that, but here's mine: I want a car that's significantly faster and more nimble than the 335i.
If the 135i is only imperceptably quicker, if it is only imperceptably more tossable, then I'd rather have the 335i.
I don't see how the 135i can be enough better without being lighter, but maybe BMW has some magic, so I'm still hoping.
Remember, add one good-sized passenger and the 135i weighs as much a 535i.
