I think you're making a good decision on the winter set. At the very least, you can always sell them if you find they're unnecessary or you decide to make a garage queen out of the 1-'vert. I can respect either decision.
I had a hard time deciding between the heated wheel or the sport wheel with paddle shifters. Shifters won out. I refuse to have a cold rump, though, so the heated seats were a must-have.
