Sorry, don't really have any tips or DIY, it's pretty straightforward. Thing you always need to remember your self is that di-noc when heated up, will be super soft, so you will be able to remove any defect by heating and stretching it.
Look at di-noc DIY on youtube, you'll see people wrap easily some very complex pieces.
