I don't think so. 1seriesstud fell victim to the
waste gate rattle. And a couple of others it looks like.
Had it repaired under warranty, but didn't like the fact that the car was suffering from issues from 2007/2008 that were supposed to be addressed by BMW. He ended up selling it because he didn't want to deal with anymore retro issues or new ones for that matter.
I guess the question is will it be covered under the warranty extension...
