I couldn't find any oil information in the supplemental 1M manual, only the regular 1er manual which is of course going to say use the regular 1er oil grade.

I have not seen anything in print on which engine oil is correct. I would love to see something though. I have only seen numerous posts about which oil is correct. I think
DriveHard (he works for a dealer) has also confirmed that TWS oil is incorrect oil for the 1M. Maybe try to PM him.
You might also look under your hood. On the front cross brace on US spec cars there is this decall...
I don't think EU cars get this decall. ?
