I tracked my 135i when I had it and there are a few flaws that really annoyed me.

1. Understeer, lots of it. I eventually got camber plates and had tons of negative camber but in the end, it's still there at the limit. You could run a square tire setup to alleviate it a bit but then you're not using the rear tire width to it's maximum potential.

2. LSD, it desperately needs one. The e-diff is definitely no replacement for a real LSD.

In the end I moved onto a different car that was more suited for track duty. My recommendation is to go with an E36 M3 (if it has to be BMW) if you're serious about tracking. Like others have said, the torque was nice in the 135i but on the track it ran out of breath after 5.5k and it wasn't linear enough to be predictable.
