The brakes didn't hold up very well... By then end of the first session, I had a really soft pedal. I started doing extended "cooldown laps" (went out on the highway and did a 10-mile loop) between each session and that always brought back the pedal. This was a pretty cold day, too... I think ambient temps were never higher than low 60's and it was usually quite a bit less.
So... I'm pretty sure I wasn't boiling the fluid (it was freshly flushed). The stock pads were just getting overheated and (I assume) compressible. And perhaps the plastic spacers started to degrade as well? Haven't inspected them yet.
You know, I feel pretty dumb now for going out there with a stock setup... I had seen a few of the threads about the brake issues, but I figure with a mostly stock car on street tires, I'd be fine. Lesson learned.
