This is wrong (a real LSD always helps traction in snow as well as pavement). The choice between a real LSD and an E-diff is not necessary (it's a false choice). The proper way to equip a sportscar is with BOTH a mechanical LSD and then add electronic (E-diff) control (which can be turned off). This is how Porsche has done things since 1995 (Porsche's version of E-diff is ABD or Automatic Braking Differential).
