Define "hot". In the course of what I would consider normal operation for a street pad, they emit a shrill and extremely loud squeal. Depending on how much clamping force you apply, the pitch changes distinctly.
They do appear to get a bit better once warm but even then, the squeal is there and very noticeable. IMO this isn't all that aggressive a pad and should not squeal like that in normal use. It's frustrating.
