Step 2:
Locate the hood switch cable located near the firewall on the drivers side of the car. You will have to remove the tape from the cable. Once the cable is free, remove the dummy plug covering the exposed end of the connector. Use your fingernail on the clip. Install the bracket using the included screw (my package had both a Phillips and hex head screw...it's your choice.) Insert the switch and make the connection.
**Optional: This will tell you 1er's just how how crazy I am. Cut a small piece of electrical tape (.25" sq) and place it on the hood switch, sticky side up. Then close the hood. This will mark where the hood switch comes into contact with the hood. I like to put a very very thin felt pad between the switch and the hood. No wearing of the paint :biggrin:
