You like the feeling of high revs, high compression. But your 135i's engine is the opposite of that.

Your revs should be relative to throttle. If you're accelerating WOT, you should shift near redline. If you're accelerating leisurely, you should shift around 2500. If you're cruising at 60, you should be in 6th or sometimes 5th.
