all the parts are standard bmw parts, it's not like they would engineer a new seatbelt sensor just for the 1's
no company can afford to re-engineer every part of a car so its' different from other models, these 1's even come down the same assembly line as other series

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
