You could try this:
In the module KOMBI, is it possible you have this option CC_TEMPERATURWARNUNG "?, You put it in "aktiv"
The reports seem to indicate this works on e46 3 series but not e90s. Seems worth a try. The temperature warning may or may not be in Kombi for us, you might have to look around.
