And lets face it this piece add's no structural rigidity to the car and is strictly for show! ...IMHO

I would think that when its not bolted down correctly it would take away some of its purpose. What I find funny is that Carbon Fiber all though rigid at time is also made to flex somewhat. My Carbon Fiber mountain bike that I raced with was built that way. Made to be somewhat for forgiving.
