I think like you said, its all bout preference..same goes for sound as well.
Sure the massive gurgle of a 6.0 liter engine with headers is sweet. But I can run my engine all day n night as a daily driver n not kill my ears and have everyone hate me, but at the same time i can ruin pretty much anyone on the road and cream my pants every time without going deaf.
Heres the kickers, if you reach 6k rpm in 3rd gear with my kind of mods at WOT in the 1er and DONT get goosebumps, then the american build is for you. Otherwise, continue with german automobile sex
