The S54 has been around since 2001, has an iron block and won't meet current emissions standards.
I admit that a high revving, six individual throttle bodied, aluminum block straight six would be ideal, especially one that doesn't need valve adjustments. But turbos and existing parts are cheaper, and the 1st volumes don't justify one off parts, so this is what we get.
