I use Griot's Car Wash soap, and I mix up my usual concentration in a Gilmour foam gun. I hit an area of the car with the foam, and clay away.

I would imagine that gold class mixed on the "rich" side would work, whether you have a foam gun, or just get it nice and soapy out of a bucket.

A nice soapy, slippery mix is what it's about; that's why they call it "clay lube." That's why it just dawned on me that Optimum No-Rinse would work.

If you have auto parts stores nearby, Clay Magic sells their clay bundled with clay lube.

I still think that a nice soapy car wash mix would work, though; it would be worth a try to use what you have.
