Do you have comfort access?
If so, you touch the handle to unlock, pull handle to open.
In mine, I have to pull twice only if I try to open the door too quickly where the door does not have a chance to unlock before you try to open it. When that happens, the first quick pull becomes unlock.
I am thinking maybe the touch sensor on your handle is disconnected somehow during the window work.

Reason: Just re read your post. You have to pull twice to open the unlocked door. You should go back to dealer.
