I have both and they are different but equally as fun. The engineers of their eras who built them had the same soul and it shines through when you are behind the wheel of either of them. When I was in Munich for my ED I met the lead engineer for the 1M, he said their goal when they started the 1M skunk works project was to make a modern day e30 M3.
