Most modern BMW's (i.e. E9x & F30 3-series, F10 5-series, etc.) will require a slightly lower offset wheel to fill out the fenders. Should one try to install these wheels on a 1-series, the wheels will likely stick out too far and fender work or a stretched tire will be required.

While the ET45 on the 1-Series is close to the fender, it does not necessarily require a fender roll - this will depend on specific tire choice (different makes/models are actually sized differently, even if they are the same spec), ride height, and alignment. Based on customer feedback we've found the ET45 to be a good balance of flush fitment while still utilizing inner clearance. In fact, the V705 is now offered with an 8" front width for 1-series, something we implemented due to user feedback such as your own. At the end of the day, we are always open to further suggestions to help provide an even better product to the community
