The folding bit of the 1M mirrors is from the M3, the cracking part however i think is exclusive for e82 and found on factory 1Ms and other e82 M mirror retrofits.
For those who are interested to see if we can find a possible cause and effect, if your mirror has cracked, please list if you have folding mirrors or not (included in either options 313 and 430)
