The VHT works great. I've done about a dozen sets of tails with it, BUT even when you do the best job possible, it will still look 'backyard' when you get up close. Like Mike said, a body shop can tint them by mixing some color with clear coats, giving you a SEMA quality finish if they are good at what they do. All comes down to budget. IMHO, If you haven't done it before... a 1 series is not the car to learn on
