Yesterday's trip to the Nürburgring was great. The rain stayed away and the sun actually came out between the occasional cloud bank. I had a good buddy along with his friend visiting from the US. She was so into it and her enthusiasm was infectious. I did a lap early and there was almost no traffic. My second lap I avoided a spinning 911 (lift-off oversteer FTL) and passed a 360 Modena. That will make you feel like a rockstar! B-) The brake pedal got a bit spongy on that lap. I checked the fluid and I had boiled it (DOT4, SS lines, Cool Carbon pads and titanium heat shields) over but nothing serious happened. Luck was with me for sure. Then I got a ride-along in a C5 Z06 with a completely built motor. That thing reved to 7000 and sounded soooo sweet! After the 'Vette guy gave my buddy's lady friend a ride she asked if we could sit by the track and watch cars for awhile. I almost shed a tear. "Of course we can..."

Such a fantastic car day I had to share with the group.
