According to the MSDS for
Armorall Wheel Protectant, it contains:
40-50% d
ecamethylcyclopentasiloxane
50% alkanes C3-4 (ie propane/butane propellant/solvent)
10% "other nonhazardous substances"
"This is a commercial product whose exact ratio of components may vary slightly. Minor quantities of other non
hazardous ingredients are also possible."
I'd say that the siloxane chemical is the active ingredient.
