Yea... but I too changed my oil at: 1,200 miles, 2,500 miles, 5,000 miles and then every 6K miles. Call me nuts.. but I sleep better at night.

When I change my oil and see how water'd down it is by fuel... how thin it looks and how black it is just with those few thousand miles... I could NEVER leave it for as long as BMW say too. Maybe this is why my engine has always felt really strong. I don't know. Perhaps its just a "lucky" motor. But I do sleep better with very frequent OCI's every 6K miles. ::
