I agree our gear changes are different than narrow power band NA engines. we can take most turns in 3 gear where other cars need to drop down to 2 but I bet you can shave 10 seconds from your time if you take turn 1 in fourth. you should be able to take turn one at 95+ mph and just gradually accelerate through. last year I use to drive my local track in 3-4 gear. mostly 3rd. this year I am using more 4-5 and I have shaved 10 sec from last year time. keeping the rev range between 3000 and 5000 and peaking at 6000 for gear changes is the fastest way around the track imo.
