I ordered a set of 225/40R18 Blizzak WS60's to wrap all four of my M-package wheels from tirerack. The Blizzak LM-60's have a higher speed rating but apparently aren't as good for snow and ice traction. I took the safer (and cheaper) route. I don't need all out performance in the winter. I'll leave that for some nice sticky summer tires.

If anyone's wondering why I'm keeping my M-wheels for the winter... I got the wheel/tire warranty from my dealership at a decent employee price so I figured I'd use these for winter and get some aftermarket wheels for the summer. The warranty covers all wheels and tires (as far as I was told). Good stuff! Oh, and I ordered the tires through my dealership (BMW of Sterling) so I could get whole sale pricing and after freight and taxes I saved a whopping $6!!! hahaha... Good to know I can make good use of my employee discounts !
