The Dinan plates are designed to be used only with factory type strut mounts. You must remove the existing studs and locating dowel from the strut mount and use the supplied fasteners to attach the Dinan plates to the top of the mount. The plate is offset and allows approximately .75 degrees of negative camber per side.
Edit: this is a popular option because it still retains the OE mount (less NVH). This paired with the M3/TRW control arms is a great alternative to adjustable plates if you never really plan on changing your alignment.
