Fourtailpipes method seems like a huge time saver, but it's almost too late to be of help for me. ECS and BavAuto have detailed videos of positioning the strut outside the fender before removing it (that's what i did for one side). Why would they detail this if you could just move the knuckle off of the strut first? I have to think there's a reason for this. The only thing i can think of, is getting better access to spreading the knuckle? My strut was almost stuck, and took a bit of fighting to get out.
