Up for sale I have an ARAI GP-5 Full Face Motor Racing Helmet. I bought this helmet without trying it on, and unfortunately for me, it does not fit my head properly. I know everyone insists on trying on first, but I just thought I would take the chance and unfortunately it didn't work.
This is a large size helmet, 59-60cms and is certified to the latest SNELL SA2005 standards for use in motor sport. This is a very rare version of the ARAI GP-5 normally used only by professional racing drivers. It comes direct from ARAI in Japan in a basic kit form, so that it can be custom painted, then assembled by the helmet painter. This will be best for any driver who wishes to get the helmet custom painted, because it leaves less preparation for your helmet painter to carry out. Unlike with normal retail versions of the GP-5, on this helmet there are no HANS posts to mask off, no vents to remove and no cheek padding to remove when masking off the visor aperture - all these parts can be fitted after the paintwork has been completed.
All this helmet requires to make it complete and ready to race is a set of HANS posts (if your racing series requires the use of a HANS device), Also this requires the '5 piece vent kit' for the top of the helmet.
The helmet comes with all of the rest of the items needed to make it complete, i.e. Cheek pads + Genuine Arai glue to fit into place, front vent mesh, Arai stickers, visor pivot kit and an ANTI FOG CLEAR VISOR (retail GP-5's come supplied with just a normal clear visor).
