I took my car to BMW for this issue happening every time I went to drive and the car was cold. After the car warmed up, the issue went away.
BMW reporgrammed my car and the problem was solved. I think my car had "learned" some bad behavior and the reprogramming corrected it.
I did have to duplicate my problem (which was easy) with the BMW tech in my car because they didn't understand or couldn't duplicate the problem.
