For any others considering ED.. DEFINITELY pay for the breakfast. I stayed at a different hotel last year (Tryp Munchen) , and the breakfast was 14 Euro. Same as the Leonardo.. it was a SERIOUS buffet with all kinds of items. I spent about 16 Euro for an airport meal of schnitzel, potatoes, and fresh OJ in Frankfurt... so the hotel breakfast was a bargain in comparison. In addition, for US folk... the breakfast buffets are a good way to make sure you get staples of the american diet like eggs, sausage etc. 19 Euro at the leonardo is steep.. but if the room is less than 100 euro per night.. that sounds like a good offset. IIRC I paid 110 for the Tryp Munchen.
Yes, room value offsets breakfast price and very enjoyable as M3Adjuster said. Once you have big meal in the morning, you can find yummy sandwiches, etc around Munich to snack on. I just wanted to mention it because I thought it would be some little continental thing, but it was much nicer than that. Try the sauteed mushrooms!!!
