This is what I did. I jacked up the car using the rear jacking points (per manual, the points in front of the rear tires) high enough so that I could slip a jack stand underneath the front jacking points (points behind the front tires). I repeated this step for the other side.
I also cut out some blocks of wood to use as inserts into the stock mounting points. while they seemed to work ok they ended up slightly cracking when it was all said and done. I plan on ordering some aluminum stock (square 1 inch bar), cut it, and make some new, solid inserts.
