These allow you to create a plug-and-play dimmer line harness as pictured below for plugging the dimmer line into the trunk switch. When I installed my v2 gauge, I decided not to use the vampire clip to tap the dimmer line and instead ordered these from Tischer to re-create the plug-and-play harness that was part of the v1 gauge (pictured below).
The dimmer line is optional, you can manually dim the gauge at night, but I like the auto dimming feature of the gauge. I don't like to tap anything (even a dimmer line) -- using the BMW connectors to plug in just feels better  |
