Hate to say it but I don't see why they can't. The issue is they may be deterred if they can't start the car (by seeing the stickers and the device itself and/or trying it) since there is no guarantee that they will be able to start it later anyway. However, if they are ready with a tow truck and their aim is to chop the car not to sell it as it is, then unfortunately they may go with it.
So, we are back to garage+camera+alarm+poorly fed dogs+guns+well paid security+friends in the neighbourhood police department!
