On model year 11&12 and later OEM Alarm is fuse #54 (Alarm only, installed during retrofit) & 62 (factory installed, probably shared with other functions)

- The OP E82 dedicated manual turned out to be missing the instructions for wiring the continuous supply for the mirror alarm LED (Pin8-PlugX14292, 30<63 RT/VI, Red/Violet). For the alarm LED we need this supply to be available without ignition on, thus from terminal 30 (terminal 15 only works with ignition on). Oddly in the E9X alarm install material this connection is part of the retrofit wire loom and specified in the manual. The E82 EC/Homelink retrofit cable 61120434330 also did not include this wire, but in a 2006 E9X Homelink retrofit manual, I discovered that it can be connected to Pin19-PlugX14288 (a terminal 30 connection). In that way the mirror functions are fused by #63. If you prefer the LED to be fused to 'alarm only' fuse #54, you can splice at the FZD the supply to Pin8-PlugX14289 30_DWA, RT/SW, Red/Black. Final option if you want to minimize your wiring, you could probably wire from the Pin1-PlugX13084, 30_RLS, RT/VI, Red/Violet which is also a terminal 30 for supply to the rain sensor at the windshield, right next to the base of the interior mirror.



- According to the attached WDS12 E82 Antitheft alarm system, the 2 CANBUS connections that the manual suggest to wire all the way from the DWAI rear roof center to the Junction box (as part of the wire loom) can also be connected nearby to the FZD Pin9-PlugX14289 OR/GR, K_CAN_H and Pin10-PlugX14289, GR, K_CAN_L.

Coding the FZD module (roof module) is not required. Contrary to the retrofit manual, according to WDS, the alarm LED signal (DWAL, GR/SW, Gray/Black cable) can be wired into the FZD Pin12-PlugX14289 but this is hardwired to output Pin13-PlugX14288. The OP manual actually wires the Alarm LED signal straight to the interior mirror Pin9-PlugX14292.
