The plastic cover at the base where it attaches to the windshield is split down the middle. Like two clam shells. Pull them apart - then once off, take the mirror and rotate counter clockwise(I believe) 90' derees. The mirror will come right off. Don't forget to unplug the connecter for the electronics. G.L.
