As for pads, I'm running the OEM pads for the F30 335i calipers I have. They work surprisingly well on-track, are quiet and bite-y on the street, but the dust levels are stupid, and you'll probably only get two weekends out of them. (Based on wear in 15-degree weather...)
My next set is likely to be Cool Carbon S/T Plus'. I've read some really positive reviews, all complementing their low dust levels, strong initial bite, and excellent fade resistance (compared to OE). Everyone seems to love Cool Carbons...

Are the stoptechs heavier than stock? a lot heavier? Read nothing but good things about them on daily and tracked cars, especially with their pads.
