It is very likely that there are no "new" versions fitted from factory; if you did not change yours after buying the car, yours is also the old one which causes rubbing issues, regardless of your car's production date. It would be interesting to discover that I am wrong and some later production cars are indeed fitted with new piece though.
You can be sure yourself by checking the thread, like OrangeCrush suggested earlier or post a photo of yours.
