Sure if they have new engine that NA with as much TQ as the 1M sure great go for it. Other wise you'd be stupid to want a 360HP S54 in the 1M.

That was the original plan from BMW. Everyone knows the weak link of the 1M is the engine which hardly lives up to what a proper M engine is. And I've had torque loaded BMWs before, it was part of the reason I sold it.
And seeing as S54 engines make 330whp with minor bolt ons, I can only imagine where a proper set of cams and some factory R&D could take you.
