One word: Audi. Part of the VW/Audi/Porsche conglomerate, and not known for its great customer relations. A nice car to be sure, but it's basically a tarted-up VW with AWD (assuming it's a quattro model). From what I've heard from those who owned them, they have a lot of QC problems and like another poster mentioned, once the warranty/maintenance is up, they're really expensive to maintain. An A5 with just the little 2.0T engine would give you a pretty heavy car without much performance. Not sure what their current HP rating is for the 2.0T, but this is basically the same 5-valve engine that they introduced back in 2000 in the Turbo Beetle.
