Maybe consider at some time making it a 2 day event and stay overnight in the
Lakes of the Clouds Hut. $135 which includes supper and breakfast. Its about a 2 hour hike from the summit to the Hut, about 2½ hrs back to summit. You'll need good footwear, extra clothes and your own sleeping bag. Awesome experience seeing the sun set and sun rise from such a location. The hut is extremely popular on weekends so need reserve well in advance.
